I once found foot fetish porno mags under the driver seat of the car. I don't know why the customer didn't remove them before bringing me the car. He had to have known that I would remove the seat from the car to repair it.
A lady brought her husband truck in for carpet and he didn’t know it , I pulled the rubber mat out and found $6500 cash and a picture of a naked lady and it wasn’t his wife, when I finished the job I put it back, never got a thank you
Over the years I've found all kinds of strange stuff, from ammunition to pornography. My best find however is, a few months ago I found a pair of pliers with the letters GM inscribed on them, buried in the side bolster of an original seat from a 1966 GTO. The seat had never been apart.
I was trying to run a dome light wire down the drivers side windshield post on a 1939 Ford Sedan, with an original headliner and hooked an obstruction. It was a Salmon head. I guess someone at the factory put it there. Probably took a while to sell that one.
There are three things that I will never forget that I have found while stripping seats. First was a pile of chicken bones (drum sticks and wings) under an F350 seat, who knows how long those had been in there. 2nd was a 2-carat diamond stud earring, my customer said that his wife had lost that around 12 years ago. He had already been reimbursed from his insurance, needless to say, re-upholstering his Tahoe seats was the best money he had ever spent! 3rd we were stripping down some seat frames for parts and tossing everything else to make more room in the shop. The seat was a cloth 2002 Yukon, once I removed the top cover there was a pocket carved in the foam with a vial of Winstrol Anabolic Steroids.
We found an entire cat skeleton in a boat tear down (very sad). A live wolf spider the size of a tennis ball in a hunters buggy seat. Other than that it's the same old wallets, wrenches and toys.
