Are there any mobile guys out there that do upholstery? I am not talking about the vinyl repair(doctor vinyl etc) I am looking for pictures of a van set up for traditional upholstery complete with sewing machine and work bench. Thanks

There’s one around Seattle, Seat Slammers Inc. They use an older UPS type van for the Mobile service.
I do a hybrid style mobile service. Doing some of the vinyl repair, and then taking the seat covers home to sew them and return them to the customer.

I have one for sale here in Los Angeles if you are looking for one. It has a large table that folds in half to make space. The whole side opens and can be described like a stage so it is very useful to work on.

I don’t have pictures but I used an Isuzu box truck with a 14ft box. I had a 6x5 ft table piano hinged to the wall so it could be raised flat against the wall when not used. Sewing machine at front end of table. Small construction air compressor and lower tool box both against front wall with cabinets over them for supplies. Laptop and printer on top of tool box for invoicing. Truck had side roll door and rear roll door. Generator underneath. Even had air conditioner on top. I was self contained and the truck turned on a dime for small parking lots. I never did it but an awning could have been mounted on the side for shade outside.
I did mobile leather installs for years.

I worked out of a GMC 14 foot stepvan for about 16 years, had my sewing machine mounted and a toolbox with wood on top for breakdown and layout, air compressor etc..
I currently have a Transit 150 van, it's big enough to do mobile sewing but I don't do that, I have a shop too. It's hard to know what to carry on the van these days with so many different vinyls leather and cloths.
