    Hey all.
I Have been thinking about this one for a while but what would be the next 'big thing' in stitch design? I think by the time I get around to doing my seats in the pattern I want it will be an 'old' style so thinking might get ahead of the game.

Diamonds (both single and double) are massively popular but seem to be over done; But they're starting to phase out. Hexagon has had its time too but is it going to taper off in popularity as well?

I would like to hear what does the next design look like? Instagram and Pintrest have lots of ideas but let's hear from the experts
Have a good one and keep on stitching.

I like the origami style. But the next evolution step of the diamond-patern is my NaehKRAFT-Loop of course ;)

Jens' NaehKRAFT-Loop is the most innovative design I've seen in a while. I agree that diamonds/hexagons etc. are getting old. I personally am a fan of textures and weaves. I'd like to see cloth make a comeback in custom interiors.

Thank you for this great compliment! I think cloth will make a comeback. We do a lot of classiccar restaurations - more than custom jobs. Our customers are looking much more for OEM cloth than 10 years ago. Also the combination of old OEM cloth with leather in new cars. The old Recaro cloth and scottish tartan pattern will start up.

Yeah I agree cloth and vinyl/leather can look stunning. As for the next stitch style, that'll be interesting to see what comes out.

Diamonds last forever or so it seems. The next insert craze who knows. I just know now that there some suppliers that will computer control Stitch any design you can come up with. Which seems the way to go now. I am a fan of the cloth designs from the 50s and 60s. I wish the cloth was more available from suppliers and customers open to use it.
