Anyone ever used the centrefold binding for listings? If it's available in wide widths that is. It just occurred to me that it might be a good choice.

Stitch the piping to the boxing first, then stitch to top piece on -that's what works for me.

You learn something everyday. I always put the tension around the pole. Come to think of it I don't think I used to but an engineer told me to. I've just looked in the manual (Juki LU563) and right enough it doesn't picture it going round at all ...I'll have play with it tomorrow :-)

Yeah I find that exact method by far the easiest and least time consuming ...achieves the same finish too.

Yeah we do the same, make cutting plans and keep wastage down to a minimum. We also have a range of cutting plans prepared for repeat jobs.But then it's easier for us as all our work is from fabric/vinyl off the roll and no leather.

I had a scare yesterday as my bosch cutter was cutting out. I thought it was the brushes so sorted that, still nothing ...rang bosch and they charge a standard £150 fee to fix it. I did a quick check with my multimeter to see where I wasn't getting power and discovered that the cable was damaged. God know how that happened! Replaced it and it's fine.

So i was thought I ought to start thinking about a back up or replacement. That seems like a good price too. Anyone tried them?

We use them in blinds and curtains. Not used them on panels, but that sounds interesting I must say.

We've used them for a number of years. Things to watch out for are keeping them away from electronic equipment etc. People with pacemakers need to be aware of them. They are very powerful and can shatter if they snap together quickly and hurt your fingers :-) Also, if you stitch them into anything some say that they can magnetise your needle plate. I thought this might happen but it hasn't to us even after several year of using them.

Hang about here are two parts to the business by the looks of things ...I've contacted both and one part came back and said they don't do it ...I'll wait to hear from the other.

Any ideas on what COBA do as I've been in touch with them and they're saying they do nothing similar :-(
