    Foam prices have just gone up for us this month in the UK.

    Ah that's a frustration when you go to the trouble of asking them to try things out and selecting what they want only to find your hard work need adjusting. He needs to remember that the foam will soften up a little over time too. Is it a wooden base you have? If so I find holes in the bottom do let air escape and enable to foam to compress a little easier. Sorry if that's not too much help.

    On speaking with my sewing machine engineer he suggested we store the threads either covered somehow or behind doors to stop them drying out ...anyone have any experience of them drying out?

    Yeah we use on those fabrics that fray ...it's well worth picking one up second hand if you can. It's one of those thing that will sit there for weeks on end but then when you use it you'll be pleased you have one.

    Yeah we've been keeping a stock list of fabrics and vinyls and that has made us much more productive and help use stock rather than order new.
