I used silicone moulding rubber. I made 1 side and took a mould of it for the other side.

Nice work Justin. I really like that blue vinyl. I've looked for such metalic vinyl (blue and lemon green) but I've been unable to find some here in France. If you don't mind, where do you get it from?

Not sure it would work fine on motorcycle seat. You may have here and there some loss of tension. Also, would you like such underneath with a leather/vinyl band full of wrinkles?

It's possible to pull out the backing cloth without any machine.

I use differents material/methode, depending on what I have to pattern.
On motorcycle seats, I generaly use tape to save time.
On car seats, I use transparent plastic that I lighttly glue to hold.
I use calico on convertible top.
