Patterns on leather?

    When using leather do you guys put your patterns either vertical and horizontal correct? but not at an angle?
    Or do you guys cut them at any direction and try to use as much of the hide as possible?

    We do alot of high end furniture but we never cut leather at an angle.

    I’m very new to leather but someone mentioned in here in another post that they use different areas of the hide for different areas of the seat. Some parts are stiffer and wouldn’t work as well for the main insert area or look as nice. But also depends on the way the area you are using stretches and what it will be used for.
