  • Church Pews Reupholstery
Consider the foam as well. These church pews are very easy to do. They do require a lot of taking them apart. You will need a 2-3 man team.
  • 1959 ford Fairlane 2 door
Ecklers keeps popping up in my searches for 59 fairlane interiors.
  • 1966 El Camino
Opgi has all that stuff. Original parts group. They sell everything for those Chevys
  • Early Porsche fabric.
It took me years funding these type of fabrics. The only source I came up with is hydesleather.com
  • Thread problems (and stitch)
I rarely get on here. But my solution was using smaller spools of thread.
  • Tools!
I use coated scuba weights! Often 10-20 pounds.
  • How do you guys cope with constant interuptions?
This to me is a current problem I have. I even have one bad yelp review because of a customer who walked in. Told them I was backed up for two months and they said it’s ok I’ll look elsewhere. Yet they still wanted the estimate. I told them it wouldn’t be fair for the other person since I am not doing the job. He left. An hour later his wife(which wasn’t even there present posts a bad yelp review about how I don’t want any new work amd how I am still in business. I wish people can respect us more. I would love a Percy world to be able to set up and be appointment only. But people always walk in. Yeah I had a customer call me 15 minutes before closing wanting to come in and browse materials. I said no I’m closing. I am a one man shop. It drives me insane that I cannot focus like I want to. But I close on weekends now and just work behind closed doors and don’t answer the phone on weekends.
  • Landau foam/Custom panels
The solution I found that works best for me is using a brush to brush the glue on like the older days before the spray gun. The reason it looks like cellulite it’s the spray of the gun the glue spreads like that. I had a dashboard I had a neighbor upholsterer do and he uses that and I had to redo it because the customer didn’t like it. The only way is sanding it and using a brush to spread the contact adhesive to both sides.
  • Mobile Upholstery
I have one for sale here in Los Angeles if you are looking for one. It has a large table that folds in half to make space. The whole side opens and can be described like a stage so it is very useful to work on.
  • Mercedes Seat Trim Cloth? Pillar Cloth?
What city are you located in. Here in Los Angeles we have veteran company and they can get all year model fabrics.
